Who can attend the Sim Sessions?

Our sessions are designed for professional staff already in practice. We welcome the attendance from all disciplines and specialties. We believe practicing real-life scenarios in teams across disciplines will dramatically improve our patient care for our most complex patients. Porters, Orderlies, Clerks, MDs, RTs, RNs, EMS, are all welcome.

Where are they held?

Because of the nature of In-Situ Simulation, we can literally hold these sessions anywhere. Contact us if you’re interested in having us organize a session for you.

What time does the Sim Session start?

0730 – Because this is a team event, we request everyone to be punctual so that we can start our prebrief on time. Thank you.

Will the video be used for evaluation?

No. Our Sim Sessions are for educational purposes only. The session is video recorded for debriefing & promotional purposes only.

Do I receive CME credits?

Yes. Our Sim Sessions are accredited in the highest quality category (Assessment) with both the Royal College (9 x MOC Section 3 credits) and CFPC (12 Certified Mainpro+).

Do I have to pay to attend?

Sim Sessions organized for our Emergency Department are paid for by the ED Governance Committee. RNs, your ED nursing leadership has put your education as a priority and is paying you 4 hours to attend these sessions.
